Two Colorado natives, Curt Butz and Coley Hudgins, are developing a sustainable organic farm at Rio Oria Estates, located between Pedasí and Playa Venao, Panamá.
Curt has been involved with permaculture land design since 1995. He’s worked on farms in the US, Canada and Australia. He feels the Rio Oria area is a great location for experimenting with a wide range of plant food sources and with the appropriate sustainable stewardship will provide a diverse amount of healthy organic food. He looks forward to enjoying his own cornucopia while swinging in a hammock admiring the beautiful ocean views.
Coley Hudgins is an investor who has lived in Panama for the past 5 years. He is currently building a home in the Playa Venao area and has a blog called TheResilientFamily focused on all things related to becoming more resilient and self reliant including permaculture and organic gardening techniques. Coley lives with his wife, three children, one dog and the occasional mouse or bat in the Cocle province of Panama.
